Sorry. I meant to say that most of the toy breeds were bigger when they were first started. I know the Maltese used to be much larger also. Yes, some of these breeders think they can get thousands of dollars for a tiny and do some crazy things. It's just so sad for the babies. The really little ones need to live quite limited lives in order to survive. There are just so many things to protect them from. Gracie is 5 pounds and she has about given me a heart attack so many times I have lost count. I can't imagine having one much smaller!
