When my guy was neutered, he also had to spend all day at the vet and they even discussed the possibility of him staying all night depending on how he responded. Now he also had baby teeth removed as well but.... we got updates through out the day and they wanted to make sure he would eat and potty before they said we could pick him up LATE afternoon (4:30) - he was there at 7:30 am.
