We could put the mills out of business easily, if we encourage people to visit the homes. Breeders who sell directly to the public, do not need a license, and no government agency ever inspects their kennels. |
I wasn't encouraging her not to visit. I was simply stating that visiting doesn't mean you won't still buy, because people can be fooled or uneducated or even think they're educated and not be. I actually found my first greeder/breeder from the AKC website.... I thought I was educated and asking good questions that she answered with the right answers.
And not visiting doesn't automatically equal BYB. Westley's breeder is far from it. I took the word of others who had visited, the feedback from YT and her reputation as a good sign.
She needs to do her research like I would advise anyone else. I wish I had YT before I purchased my first 2 so that I would have paid closer attention and asked better questions when I did go to that breeders house.
