I believe the opposite. The parent is at fault 100%. If the child had walked into road traffic & died, or fallen into a neighbour's pond & died?
If a dog attacks on YOUR property or PUBLIC property, then the dog owners is a fault, but I don't see how a dog owner is at fault when someone trespasses on his property.
