My yorkie Callie partially tore her ACL and had surgery on that as well as her knee for luxating patella. They say when the ACL tears normally it will tear in the other leg within 18 months. We went to an orthopedic surgeon and I was really happy with how they where. When you say your dog has to take a pill for the rest of her life to prevent arthritis do you maybe mean a supplement? Sorry your dog had to go through that its hard to see them in pain.
