Give it up. We got our beloved Dee Dee in 2000 and now BJ. Like everything else, things are made cheaper. I kept all of Dee Dee'd toys and I got one out for BJ. It is much more durable than what I have bought for BJ. She loves squeaky too. I have found the rubber toys go faster than the ones made of a fabric, fuzzy etc. of some type. You have to watch also,, those little tube things inside that makes them squeak comes loose and if you don't take the toy away, I am sure some dogs would manage to get it out and possibly swallow it. I took back three of BJ's favorite rubber toy, finally I just said keep it and got new brush.
