The crazy thing is, is that this happened at my parents house and they live out on a farm where they always have at least 5 cats and have never had much of a problem with mice. Last fall it was awful though. You could hear them running between the floors. That's when my mom decided to try rat poison I guess, which I never remember her using when I lived there. I'm sure she will be way more careful next time and maybe go back to hiding mouse traps.
