To be honest, I feel very worried for your girl. Based on your post and questions, I'm gathering that perhaps you're not comfortably prepared for a whelping.

If that's the case, I can't imagine not taking her to the vet for this whelping - and having the support of those who have expertise. I mean, what if you lost her?

Whelping can easily be life or death - for the Mom and the puppies. Think of what's most important, and let that be your guide.

If I were in this position, I'd definitely have her at the vet.
