I was told by Sophie's veternarian and the breeder that I have to use a tear-free shampoo (Sophie was 12 weeks at the time and is now almost 4 months old). I bought some puppy tear-free shampoo and it dried out her hair and skin. So then I bought a recommended puppy shampoo + conditioner tear-free version and it was better but I was still not happy with the results. I have long thick hair myself and shampoo + conditioner combos just don't cut it...I need a separate good conditioner after shampooing or my hair is full of tangles and not as soft and silky!

If I make sure it does not go on her head can I use regular dog conditioner on my puppy? Can I use a human conditioner? Does anyone have a brand they can recommend?

At what age can she start using regular dog shampoo and not the tear-free kind?
