Ah, Joey might be Sully's rival on here for trick-doing! Very nice! You definitely should get the video camera out for those!
Sully knows:
- sit
- stay (he will STAY for a looong time even if you leave the room!)
- shake
- beg
- (when he begs, I ask him "did you wash your hands?" and he will hold his paws up high and "show paws")
- spin around (on all fours...and on command he will keep spinning until I say stop)
- down (chin all the way on the floor)
- Bang! Bang! (dead dog)
- roll over (and on command he will roll over and over and over)
- crawl (like an army dog, we say...on his belly. We tell him "under the barbed wire, Sully, lower...lower...)
- up (stand up tall on his hind legs)
- twirl (spin around on hind legs)
- walk across the room (on hind legs....you guys saw this one on video last week)
- speak! (bark bark)
- give kisses
- stretch (still working on this one)
- and last but not least, "take a bow"
Sully also knows all of his tricks with either a voice command or a hand sign only. I've taught him to respond to both....so it's a lot of fun this way! I can say whatever I want to him but give him the hand signal and he'll do it! Sometimes when we give the "take a bow" sign, I'll tell him to "do a yoga stretch". |
