This is solely based on my opinion, but I think it's our faults yorkies are prone to marking. Actually, I think it's the humans' fault most of the bad behaviors we see in the small little dogs. They're so cute, we let them get away with murder. One of my friend's dogs fits the profile of small yappy dogs. She barks nonstop. It's very annoying, but my friend allows it and jokes her girl is just vocal. My friend allows a behavior, and the behavior progresses and gets worse. Same with marking.
