Leather ear suggestions desperately needed Hi everyone,
I am new member to this site and need your help. I have read all of the threads on here re: leather ear but nothing so far seems to be working. My yorkie named Nora started out with black outlines around her ear borders at the end of Feb. of this year. She has lost a lot of the hair on her ears and the inside of her ears have since turned black. I am going to list everything I've tried with her....most are suggestions I've gotten from this site.
-used rubbing alcohol 2x per day and then put lotrimin regular strength 2x per day on inside of ears.
- used all systems tea tree oil on her ears 2x per day. I put it on using a Qtip.
- I'm now washing her ears everyday with head and shoulders shampoo. I let the shampoo sit on her ears for 5 to 10 minutes. I do put the tea tree oil on in the morning and at night I wash her ears and put the lotrimin Ultra on at night. I do dry her ears completely with a blow dryer before putting on the lotrimin Ultra.
I started all of this at the end of Feb. I just havent seen too much improvement. Does anyone have any experience with this and can give me some suggestions? I am really getting worried. I dont know of there is something else I should be doing. Thank you everyone in advance. I have truly valued reading all of the previous posts on this site.
