I agree. I think the most important part is to get your dog on a schedule to take him out. So that way he will eventually know that he goes outside a Blank time, Blank time ect. But I gradually moved my pee pads to the door, and then i put a bell on the door and taught him to hit that, and now he just goes (: I hope that helps a little (:
