i also have doubts...i will tell you only how my dogs coat looks like, and in my opinion it is silky. His hair is fine (compared to human hair) but feels very silky if you run your hands thru it, doesn;t matt a lot and it very easy to brush.
I know that puppies will have a different coat, but i didn;t really see that in Mojo since i got him when he was almost 6 months. There is the flashlight trick, that our breeders taught us but i donnou if it would work on a puppy.
If his parents are silky i think he will probably be also silky...lets see what the experts think about it
