i do both because the two boys need the extra calories--they eat a lot morre then Remy. It also makes me feel better that they are getting all the nutrients they need-- even though I am sure they are with the recipe and the balance it. The volume of food I would have to cook is a bit overwhelming to me so I "balance" it with kibble. I did research to be sure I am getting a high quality kibble.
