Buddy is just a little doll. I've had two little girls that lived to be 16 1/2 and 18 yrs old. They did go through the disorientation too when they were awake. My Heidi was in kidney failure that last 3 1/2 yrs and I did sub-q fluids and medications every day. She was a real trooper but she did let me know when she had enough. Kady had both eyes removed years before but she could navigate pretty good as long as things were not moved around. She was on the anipryl. In the end she started pushing her head in corners. I took her to the vet one morning and that night she started having seizures. I made the dreaded decision that night to end her suffering but she had gotten to the point that she did not have a good quality of life. My vet now thinks she probably had a brain tumor. Your little guy is precious and I'm sure he'll let you know when he has had enough but until then just give him extra extra love.
