We had a Beagle named Charlie that we rescued when we lived at our other house. He had been abused. I took him in as my baby. He was one of the best dogs we ever had.

Poor Charlie. Our neighbor's beagle was abused too, but she has really come out of her shell and trusts people now. It unbearable to think about.
