I agree with LadyJane....I too, have experienced loosing several matriarchs...and indeed, they will look into your eyes, and they will tell you when they are tired and ready to go. OMG....such pain, such heart ache.....Buddy is adorable, and I dont see any "ready to go" look in that precious little face.
