I had similar worries when my Alexander started showing signs of confusion and disorientation. Before making any decisions, I HIGHLY recommend you talk to your vet about a medicine called Anipryl, which I learned about in my thread here http://www.yorkietalk.com/forums/sic...-yorkie-2.html. Anipryl worked wonders for my Alexander and for some other older yorkies I know. The thread I linked is full of ideas and suggestions - I pray some of them will help your precious little man.

My best friend had a little girl going on 16 years old. She was almost blind, and she was getting to the point where she would get confused about where she was in the house....with her eye sight so bad, and her poor little aging brain, she was just like some of us are getting....head off to a room and forget where you were going or why...but she was in ano pain, she was comfortable....just getting old....she was started on this medication and it worked wonders for her mental status. After seeing Shae, and the excellent results she had, I would recommend it!
