From all that I've read from your posts, you sound like a wonderful breeder who really cares about your babies. I have a difficult time with some of the "ethical" decisions the AKC is making, but at this point it is still the most reputable organization there is in the United States. There doesn't seem to be any controls on the other registrations used here, and I really questions the ethics behind these registries. I don't condone the breeding of merle to merle either, but what other registry is there in the United States that supports DNA testing and controls on breeders? If not the AKC, what else is there for responsible, ethical breeding?
