We 'free feed' dexter so he has dry food all the time. As you're from the UK then you'll understand what Iams, Pedigree, Royal Canin and Wainright are. Dexter gets puppy Iams and he's great on them, they need a lot of water though so he wee's more. He was on pedigree, the vet recommended Royal Canin and Pets at home recommended Wainright (not sure on the spelling) brand as it is 'natural'.
However, Dexter will eat everything including fluff and horse poo, so it's up to you to find the best for him. Bakers makes him throw up. And he loves any wet food and will eat as much as possible.
