6 to 7 lbs is not really big for a Yorkie - that's just about right. The standard says they should not be over 7 lbs. I think. Do you have a picture of him now to post? Likely if it is a Yorkie he's through growing but he could gain weight depending on what and how you feed him, activity levels or particular medical problems. Some even purebred Yorkies have ears that don't fit the standard or very long legs or really short or long muzzles or their color is not correct to standard. Is his coat flat and harsh in texture without growing out at all or soft, silky, sleek or cottony & fluffy?
