Well, you are working at it. Try that can of pennies or those ultra light-weight containers - whatever it turns out she doesn't like - and when she learns her biting causes that to happen, I'll bet she will defer. Do you have a loud whistle you could blow when she bites? Or you could put pennies in a 12 oz. plastic cola bottle with a lid on it - just something loud or falling that will distract her but can't hurt her and cause her to associate her biting with causing this noise or falling to happen.
