As a pet owner, I was sure (and so was the breeder...) that my yorkie would be around the 6-7lb mark. She hovered right around there for the longest time, but now at 1 1/2 years old she is well over it. So, as a layperson, I'd say it's definately possible, but hopefully a knowledgeable breeder will see your post & respond with their opinion.
