Well despite what Nancy said. Here is how I cope with long hair and the beach. Pleaes keep in mind I have a show boy who is in wraps and swims in them.

For you I suspect it will be simpler. a) make sure your dog is fully brushed out before beach time; meaning no mats anywhere. b). Before you are ready to go home, bring the dog into the water with you, and finger comb out their hair to get that dratted sand out. Leave at least 5-10 minutes for this activity. c) Then pick up your dog out of the water and carry him to the car, where you can wrap him in towels. I also use a spray mist of oil on the coat to help the brush out.
