Last year I watched a few episodes show on Discover or TLC (?) about a family in Alaska that ran a small charter airline and I was certain one of the mother's small dogs was a Yorkie. Both of her little dogs were so cute and they were everywhere - out on the tarmac, in the office, in the snow. Can't recall the shows name though.
I remember that Yorkie in Green Acres. It was sweet and cute but you never got to see enough of it. But the breed is so popular, you do see them all over TV now. A Yorkie sighting on TV or in real life just makes my day. I feel as if I just saw an old friend or favorite relative whenever I see one - there is an INSTANT connection and I perk right up.
