I heard that too however never tried it. It really makes me nervous that one of my pets could fall in and drown in it. I really dont worry for the dogs I dont let them out there without us however we have cats and a couple of them were running around it and fell in they got out though. Then this winter when the pond one of my cats walked accross the pond while it was frozen and I was a nervous wreck untill she got to the other side. She could tell if it wasnt frozen enough and wouldnt walk on it though. It makes me very nervous though
