We just traveled 12 hours on Wednesday and my two did great. They travel in their PetGear booster seat together and we stop every two hours. They get water and potty breaks and short walks. I also make sure they eat on their regular schedule and they are happy to sleep and look out the window most the time. When I notice they are getting restless, we stop and take them out.
It really is safest that Luma is restrained when you are driving. While you and your boyfriend might be the best drivers in the world, you never know what the person next to you is doing (texting, doing their makeup, talking on the phone), that could cause an accident. For me, it's not worth risking their lives... So they always ride in their seat.
Good luck! |
