Yes, you can save them. Joey only eats a tiny bit of his bully stick every night. I throw it away when it gets to be around 2 inches so that he won't be tempted to swallow it whole and choke on it. His last for over a week. I think the scaping and gnawing on it are very good for his teeth and gums.
