I live about 3 hours from OSU vet school....I can't tell you how much they helped me years ago with my first Yorkie!!! He was critically ill and I had been advised to euthanize him by my local vet. I couldn't accept that and went to OSU. There he was seen by no less than 4 vets and many vet students. He had the entire array of diagnostic studies and was sent home on the medication that I knew he needed. (I am a RN). Not only did I get all that, they became his primary caregivers when I had to take him to my local vet, they were always consulted at OSU in regards to medication dosages and treatments. He lived well for 2 more years. I didn't pay anymore there than I had paid here at our vet office and emergency vet office. I hope you find the answers you need. I have been loving, raising and rescueing Yorkies for nearly 30 years and I understand completely the lengths that one will go for their fur baby!!!
