Unhappy Cooper Has Grade II LP

We went for Cooper's annual exam with a new vet clinic here in Florida. Upon checking his legs the vet said "you do know about his knee problem right?" No. I don't. She proceeded to tell me that Cooper has luxating patella in both legs. I asked what grade and she said II.

She recommended a diet change which I declined. She then said that supplementing him with Cosequin would be a good idea. I'm sure I will do that. The shock is almost over but I'm feeling a little sad. I do know that this is a very common problem with small breed dogs and can't even count the number of threads here in YT about it. Add this one to the count.

I wouldn't mind hearing some positive stories. I don't want to be scared to throw Cooper's tennis ball for him. The vet said not to limit his activity at all.
