That's very good for a younger person. At your age, I probably wouldn't have gotten 50 of 96 - if that! Most of what I really learned about history, civics, government administration/operations came after I got older and my interest in all that picked up. Most of my knowledge on these things sort of seeped in as I read things - books, news/mag articles, picked up things from TV news, etc. and even a bit from PBS. But I sure thought I'd do better on that test after a liftime of living here and observing it all!
