Rice would work fine, but in my experience, oatmeal works better (at least with my yorkie Tatiana). The oatmeal I use is the plain, old-fashion oatmeal. I would use the oatmeal as I would rice, and may have to add some extra water, as oatmeal gets thick.
I noticed that Tatiana's stools are more full and firm when I gave her oatmeal instead of rice. Thus, I switched her over to oatmeal. |
