I will confess that our son who is 4 1/2 walks our Boxer Coco and not Georgie. There is no way I would let him walk Georgie I would be so nervous. However, Coco doesn't chase other dogs or even run (she is 12 1/2) so I have no fear of that. My husband and I are always right there too. Oh and Coco actually only weighs 10 more lbs than my son he is a big dude at 4 1/2
