I answered my daughter's phone the other day and heard "How much are your Yorkies?" I told them and she said "Oh, my!" and hung up. Then I get one who says "I'm calling about your Yorkies" and I say they are my daughter's but how can I help. "How big will they get?" So I say I can't guarantee anything but I tell them how big the parents are. So they say, Oh, I was looking for one who will only get to be l-1/2 to 2#, so I say I don't think any of ours would be that small. So they say How much would they be if they were that small and I say "Oh, about $2500 to $3500" That gets rid of them pretty quick. (We do have one that Sue has already sold that probably will be pretty small and she was just regular price, not the 25 to 35 I quoted that guy) But it seems all they care about is how much and how big.
Oh, but then you do get people who ask about them and when you tell them the price they don't bat an eyelash, just ask if they can see them, and when they do decide they want one, they whip out the money and pay with no problem. From some people, she does take payments, (depends on if she likes them or feels they are going to be good yorkie parents). She has never been sorry. (Except for once.)
