I don't know if this is help or not, but I know from my two, that consistency is key. I have to stick to my routine because the one time I don't then they think they can get away with changing it up every time. I set an alarm in the morning. My dogs have learned that they don't get up until that alarm goes off no matter who else is up stirring in the house. So that may be something to try. If you know they don't need a potty break, are not sick, and are only barking for attention, stick to your pre planned schedule. Pretty soon, they will become adjusted to it but it will take some persistance on your part. (Probably the real reason mine always sleep with me too.
