It really doesn't take a whole lot of time; particularly if you have a freezer and can freeze one - two wks at a time.

If you can get a nutrionist to work with you, after the first few times, it really doesn't take a whole lot of extra fussing.

We will make up enough food for 2wks tomorrow, for 2big dogs and one Yorkie. We are talking about each big dog eats about 2lbs per day and of course the Yorkie's measley ~1/2c. 30 lbs of food or so will take us about 3hrs to make up and put into containers and freeze. I tend to roast the veges, and I do cook the meat. So the stove does the bulk of the work. I just scrape the carrots, and wash potatoes, Idon't peel all the veges as the skin is nutrient dense.

I personally gave up on kibble, when my big male after 12mths old, starting getting serious diarrhea. I tried 4 different kinds of very high quality kibble, and it was the same, he was fine for 2-3 wks on it, then whamoo, serious diarrhea.

I usually feed grain free and no corn in their homemade food.
Thanks

I'm still deciding what to do. Buddy will go onto the Wellness Healthy Weight til I decide.
