Welcome to Yorkie Talk. Tuli is adorable.

We have a "Teapot" club here full of proud members over the Yorkie breed standard of 7 pounds.

One of the most important questions to ask yourself when considering breeding is why you want to breed your dog. I love my boys and think they are adorable, but they are "pet" quality, slightly out of standard or ideal. Therefore, they are neutered. To me, "betterment of the breed" means choosing the best representatives of the breed to reproduce. That way the best genes are passed along.

There are so many dogs in this country without a home. An alarming number are euthanized for no other reason than being homeless. That is one of the many reasons many dog lovers support selective breeding.
