Good advice, I also put my fingers and fold his ear flaps down over his ears. Water in the ears will cause an infection, but it won’t cause mites, maybe the article was talking about everything ear related and mites, which are little bugs, also cause ear problems, such as a funky smell, or pawing at the ears.
