That is a tough one. Definitely speak to your vet about this puppy. And be thankful the breeder was ethical enough to advise you of this situation prior to placement.

There are other conditions that can be cocomittant with open fontanel. What exactly the risks are, is something you want your vet to advise you on. Once this is known, then you have a better idea whether or not you wish to run these risks.

I would also suggest that the breeder keeps this dog for at least another two weeks; preferably to sixteen wks whereby the breeder can also do a BAT test for liver function.
