That does sound like an insane price to charge for dental. I feel for you. Last summer Daisy's leg surgery ran me close to 2 grand. We just recently got her spayed and Tessa is appointed for a dental in 2 weeks. These girls know how to break mommy's bank. It's times like this I am glad I only have 2, anymore and I may have to put them and myself up for adoption. Sorry I kid. On a serious note your vet may overcharge because yours is a high risk surgery. You may want to look at pet insurance options. I would do a price comparison between different clinics as well.
