 Gastroenteritis
Hi. My little Bennie was diagnosed with gastroenteritis with blood in stool also vomiting. The vet said he had ulcers too. He is in the hospital tonight on antibiotics intravenously since he had some sort of viral thing going on too. yesterday he was fine running and playing and I noticed this afternoon he was laying around...I didnt notice he had thrown up anywhere and then he did so I checked around the house and found more. He felt warm to the touch so I took him to the vet immediately. I never noticed any diarrhea but I was told he had blood in his stool sample....scary stuff. The vet didnt sound like it was life threatening that he just needed antibiotics and monitoring overnight and possibly tomorrow all day too. I of course got on the internet and read where it can be fatal and that scared me. I feel like I got him to the vet in time... |
