 Leaving my puppy alone
I have a 16 week old baby,Zoe, I got her when she was 12 weeks old. That means I have had her for 4 weeks and I left her at home alone tonight for about an hour for the first time. I blocked off my kitchen with a gate, she is used to that because I do it when I am making dinner. I put her bed, my thirty I had worn today, all her toys, including a kong with a treat. I didn't make a big deal when I walked out, just said good by and told her I would be back. I was just down the street and have 2 cell phones so used them like a baby monitor so I could monitor her. She barked a couple times but not bad at all. When I walked back in the door I again didn't make a big deal out of it, but she climbed on my lap and cried very pathetic for about 10 minutes. Any further advice on how she will be okay? |
