My daughter's 4 lb Chihuahua wore a bell and her toenail got caught in it too. It happened right in front of me so I took her toenail and the bell off right away.
My dogs wear collars with only one tag that has their rabies information, chip number, my number, and HomeAgain's number. I was thinking of switching to a flush mounted dog ID tag, but I haven't yet because I like the decorative tags that I have on their collars.
