 Achilles Injury
Hey everyone!
My little man had his achilles tendon accidently snipped by a groomer. He has been hospitalized 2 hours away since Monday and had surgery today. I cannot pick him up until Friday (boo!)
He will be on crate rest for 2 months, only allowed out to use the restroom.
I did a search and did not see that anyone had any experience with this so I thought I would post and see if anyone had any tips for recovery or how to deal with an energetic little critter being crated for 8 weeks! He also suffers from anxiety and freaks out when crated for more than a few minutes and definitely when left alone (I have watched via webcam). Do you think we could get some medication to calm him?
Also, this is the 2nd time he has been injured by a groomer (actually the 3rd, but one was just a minor injury requiring 1 stitch). I dont know why we are having such bad luck with groomers :-( |
