Thank you and no your post is not at all insensitive. Kitty is not mine -- I found him sleeping on my porch and felt so sorry for the little guy that I started caring for him. After a month though I recognized that I could not let him into the house - my allergies are severe - and rather than let my selfish heart hang on to him (while he lives outside) I took him to the shelter in the hopes he will find a family. He is so gentle and trusting -- after only two weeks he started rolling over for me to scratch him. I do miss him but need to give him the opportunity to be adopted and loved the way he should be.
