t/j: I don't know why RALPHTHEPOODLE, i love your YT name and you crack me up, literally.
I for one, would not and do not take my pups to too many peoples houses. My pups, as are most Yorkies somewhat fragile. I had black labs and assortment of large dogs (rescues) throughout my life, I never ever had as many issues with all 25 of them as I have had with these two beauties.
This will sound terrible but keep in mind I was a very young mother of two and the wife of someone who would bring any animal home whose owner thought it was easier to put them down then to care for...I once woke up to CJ the large Poodle sheepdog mix and 9 puppies, I didn't even know she was pregnant! Granted we only had her for 4 days when my ex rescued her, but not a single problem was had...I can go on and on, but lets just say we were NOT on a first name basis with our vets!
Miss Mini and Miss Mia well are the million dollar pups! Not only am I on a first name basis with my vets but they are on speed dial and text 24/7!
My point is that Yorkies and small dogs are in of themselves much different than a standard sized/large dog. 5 grapes to a large lab may be nothing, but to my Miss Mini was almost death...most people don't realize how different it is and the care involved with a wee yorkie. I know my pups get stressed, I know that only my vet, Uncle Keith and my friend Deb can care for my pets if they must be left behind.
I mostly take them with me wherever I go as there are pet friendly hotels all over, that is when my husband and I travel together. We drive everywhere so as not to have to fly and stress them out. I usually go on mini vacations with my friends and hubby puppy sits. It works for us.
If I can leave my pups home and go to visit someone and know I will be back that evening, they stay home. I don't have the need to bring them everywhere I go, but I do have the choice. I would never ever tell someone to clean their house or sweep their floor, my pups are my responsibility, they live with me and just as I wouldn't leave my children in the care of certain people I wouldn't leave my pups either.
Oh last but not least, not everyone loves my pups the way I do, nor do I expect them too!!!!
