It's beyond nerve-wracking-there's no reason I should fear leaving a 14 y.o. or even Princess home alone. Though Princess is a tiny 9# at least she alerts us when someone is nearby, especially if she feels they're 'bad'.

I can't wait to move and I'm looking hard. I've even got MD clearance to bring Princess to a non-pet comm. If the complex wants to sue me for breaking my lease I feel like I have something to stand against them with in a courtroom. Any parent, especially one of a girl, should be able to relate to my fears-that are not irrational & due to actual, factual events.

I have made friends with the couple across the hall & they said dd can come over anytime she's feeling insecure to hang out. They also said they'll keep a general eye out & I do trust them. It's funny what your gut can tell you. That's one thing I told dd is her #1 defense-follow her gut no matter what, I believe it will never fail you if it's telling you something is wrong.

Thanks for the positive thoughts, hope I never have anything more to add to this thread!
