Excessive thirst can be a sign of diabetes. It's also a factor in how much humidity is in your home and how much they are panting. Dogs get rid of water every time they breathe and if they pant a lot they will need more water, also a dog who is exercising more will need more water as well as a dog who eats dry dog kibble rather than canned food. Do you have any idea how much water a day you dog drinks? My guess is that because she's exercising more she needs more water and that's perfectly normal.
