Choco is more active without the meds; once he's drugged, he sleeps all day long.
As long as I sit down with him, he won't run around or play wild.
My parents are doctors and they generally recommend to minimize the use of painkillers unless necessary, so I wanted to see what your opinions are on cutting Tramadol for Choco.
Since dogs can mask pain, I will still give him 1/4 of the pill just once per day and watch him carefully. I just gave him a single dose and he's in sound sleep.
I can't wait for him to recover completely and go on a walk again. Thanks again for your advice! |
